LOS ANGELES, March 11, 2004 – FX has signed actors Bruce Greenwood (Thirteen Days, Double Jeopardy), Leslie Hope (24, Line of Fire), James Remar (2 Fast 2 Furious, Sex & The City) and Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) for its next original movie Meltdown.  Craig Anderson and Beth Grossbard executive produce for Craig Anderson Productions along with Jan Korbelin for ApolloScreen GmbH & Co. Filmproduktion KG.  Written by Larry & Paul Barber (The Director), the movie will be directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik (Diabolique) and will premiere on FX Sunday, June 6 at 8 PM ET/PT.

Meltdown explores what would happen if one of the 103 Nuclear Reactor’s in this country were suddenly under terrorist attack.  How would our civilian population respond?  How would governmental services respond?  How would our nation as a whole respond and what kind of heroism would emerge in the face of a catastrophe the likes of which we may find unfathomable?  These what-if scenarios play out in a chilling docudrama fashion with an eye towards absolute authenticity.

“This cautionary tale needs a group of intense actors that won't flinch under real pressure,” said Executive Producer Craig Anderson of the cast.  “Our actors are awesome at portraying true-to-life, gritty and strong personalities. We are very lucky to have such a skilled cast that will make the audience feel like they are in the middle of a true nightmare.”
