Dear Reader,
Regarding the survey, again my thanks to all who voted.
A correction needs to be made. Due to a typographical error the entry for "Dr. Edward Teller as Dr. Strangelove" appeared to be the final entry among the "deceased" entries.
Dr. Teller, known as the "father of the H Bomb" (and many other things) is very much alive.
Only his ideas are dead.
The document will be corrected online:

Also, I would like to note that in addition to the three survey results which arrived shortly after the balloting was "officially" closed and the tabulating complete (which were included), three more surveys and one answer to a Bonus Question arrived much later. Although at least three of these four late returns were from noted people in the movement (whom I realize are busy -- ) it was decided that these could not and should not been added to the survey. Next year, folks -- PLEASE get your survey results in on time! I promise it will be worth it.
(Maybe next year we'll collect the votes through an online form. I'm learning FLASH -- look out! (We'll still require various forms of verification of identities, so that pro-nuke infiltrators will not be able to damage the integrity of the effort.))
Again, my thanks to everyone who took part. Tonight, Lou Dobbs' Moneyline (CNN) is reporting on a nuclear survey done recently which says the guards at the nuke plants are underpaid -- they're paid less than the janitors, according to the survey. Really important stuff.
Underpaid? You couldn't pay me enough to work there, that's for sure! But seriously, that ain't the half of it, Lou! -- Please read (or reread) my essay: "25 simple ways a group of less than 20 suicidal terrorists can melt down a nuclear power plant in under 20 minutes, with under 20 weapons, for under $20 thousand dollars, with less than 20 days of planning, thus killing 20 million people, costing America 20 trillion dollars, and laying waste to 20 thousand square miles of prime real estate for 20 millennia."
Hindsight is 20/20. This nation needs to plan for realistic future scenarios and must stop believing the Nuclear Mafia when they say everything is alright -- it isn't. And paying the guards more won't fix things (which is not to say it won't be one small step for mankind, and one punch in the nose for the Nuclear Mafia).
But even that small step can only be done if we get serious about fixing our vulnerabilities. We can get rid of the nukes -- we won't freeze in the dark!
Let's prevent the next disaster TODAY -- before this movement's dire predictions come true, as they inevitably will if the Nuclear Mafia is allowed to just keep on keeping on.
Sincerely,
Russell Hoffman

Note to pro-nukers: The balloting is now open to any pro-nukers who wish to express their views. We will, however, not intermingle the results with the other votes. Also, note that, in an effort to obtain only valid responses, ballots without names, addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, bank account numbers, and employment histories (including current employer) will not be considered. The tabulator will not vote, but he will remove his own name from the results, as before. It's pretty commonly known how you folks feel about me, so it won't do any good to whine about it here.
